Why Wales? Mountains, reservoirs, rivers & valleys, broadleaved woodland with ancient sessile oak, offshore island nature reserves. It’s open, fresh, green, exhilarating & welcoming. That’s why!

The Wildlife? Singing Wood Warblers, Redstarts & Pied Flycatchers ringing from the woods, handsome male Whinchats perched on fenceposts, Dippers & Common Sandpipers flitting along the streambeds, Goosanders, majestic Red Kites wheeling overhead and hundreds of Puffins, Guillemots & Razorbills swimming just offshore.

What a site! Wild flowers, butterflies and maybe even a Badger?

The itinerary? Apart from the exploring the extensive hotel grounds, we shall visit the Dinas/Gwenffrwd RSPB reserves and famous Gigrin Farm Kite Feeding Station, Elan Valley Lakes and surrounding region towards Devil’s Bridge, plus a day on Skomer Island.

The Accommodation….4 nights based at the beautiful Lake Country House, Llangammarch Wells. Set in 50 acres of private grounds with lovely walks and thronging with birds, superior rooms, award-winning restaurant, traditional
afternoon Welsh teas & Kingfisher Spa offering a range of Health & Beauty treatments….it’s relaxing, comfortable,
stylish and very, very nice!

Cost: £935 [s/s £125] Deposit: £200 B/L due: Mar.15

Included in the cost: 4 nights dinner, bed & breakfast as described above, return boat and landing fee to Skomer Island, Gigrin Farm Kite Feeding Station, full transportation & guidance throughout.

Not included in the cost: Lunches, drinks, gratuities & items of a personal nature.
